Fourth Amendment Canvassing

ICE activity is ramping up quickly but quietly. Join us Saturday mornings to support the Nevada Immigrant Coalition’s Know-Your-Rights Campaign. Each week, they select a business district based on the most recent reported ICE activity; we go door-to-door with ACLU Nevada-published literature, such as Fourth Amendment posters in English and Spanish for the staff room, No ICE Allowed window signs, and red wallet-sized cards for workers and employees. We use this time to build relationships in the community, learning what workers are experiencing or have heard about ICE in area; most importantly, we encourage each worker to know exactly what their rights are and to have a solid plan in place for ICE.

TBD- the location will be determined each week based on need. Canvassers must check the Abolish ICE Slack channel or reach out to a steward the night before for the meeting point.
