Committees are created by the Steering Committee for the purpose of supporting the core functions and administration of the chapter. Membership and participation in committees may be restricted in order to maintain appropriate confidentiality or security of sensitive information.

Administrative Committee
The Administrative Committee (AdCom) supports the critical administrative duties that keep the chapter running day-to-day, including managing the website and chapter tech tools, as well as developing and documenting processes for all administrative tasks under its purview to ensure continuity from term to term.
Budget, Finance, and Fundraising Committee

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee works on drafting and distributing mass emails, creating graphics, managing LVDSA’s social media accounts, and supporting campaigns and other chapter formations with any communication needs.
Electoral Committee
As socialists, we understand that there are multiple paths to working class power. While the bourgeoisie have organized into a democratic state, electoral politics remains one of the avenues that socialists can achieve state power. Nationally, DSA’s political presence is one of our best recruitment tools and has led to gains in both membership and political power.
Labor Committee
An organized and powerful labor movement is essential to building a more democratic and just future. Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC) was established in 2020 as a joint project between DSA and the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America (UE) to build a grassroots
organizing program to support workers organizing at their workplace.
Las Vegas DSA is coordinating with EWOC and implementing their guidelines to establish a local EWOC body within the chapter, called the Las Vegas Workplace Organizing Committee (LVWOC), to provide support and training to individuals seeking to organize their workplace.
Member Engagement Committee
The Member Engagement Committee plans and facilitates New Member Orientations, Member Socials, and works on member recruitment and retention strategies.
Political Education Committee
The Political Education Committee coordinates education around foundational socialist theories and concepts and supports outward-facing educational events related to strategic campaigns and working groups.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is the highest elected body of LVDSA and is the political leadership of the chapter when the general body is not assembled.
