Solidarity Strikes

Saturday, July 22nd @ 4:00 PM

Join us for our Solidarity Strikes bowling event in support of workers!

As you probably already know, 340,000 unionized UPS Teamsters are gearing up to go on strike if they don’t have the contract that they deserve by August 1st. UPS can avoid a strike by delivering workers what they deserve: an end to part-time poverty, equal pay for equal work, and no more excessive overtime.

DSA chapters across the nation will be joining in a day of solidarity on Saturday July 22nd to show our support for these Teamsters and all others who have contract fights this summer. To that end, we’ll be hosting Solidarity Strikes bowling meetups from 4-6 pm at the Orleans Bowling Center! Join us to:

  • Learn about the Teamsters’ fight and get resources that you can use to help build community support
  • Raise funds for DSA’s labor solidarity fund, a collective resource for all DSA chapters to use in support of local strikes, union drives, and other forms of working class struggle
  • Discuss how we can support other labor fights, like signing up to picket with Valley Hospital workers and Culinary Union members
  • Socialize with your comrades!

This is a public event so be sure to invite your family and friends. Plus, UPS Teamsters bowl free!
