End the ICE Contracts: No Las Vegas Collaboration with ICE

Mayor Berkley recently stated her support for Sheriff McMahill’s decision to work with ICE. This stance, coupled with her claim that ICE is not active in Las Vegas, presents a misleading technicality. ICE’s operations extend throughout the entire region, and the City of Las Vegas holds a crucial position in either enabling or actively resisting immigration enforcement.

This petition urgently calls upon our local leaders to take the following essential steps:

  • Publicly commit that Las Vegas will not participate in the 287(g) program or any other form of collaboration with ICE.
  • Refuse the use of city resources (such as the jail, marshals, or detention services) for ICE transfers or holds, ensuring city resources are not used for federal immigration enforcement.
  • Take a definitive stand to establish Las Vegas as a city of safety and protection for all residents, regardless of immigration status.

By adding your name, you will join a growing coalition demanding that Las Vegas refuse to collaborate with ICE and actively safeguard our immigrant communities. Your signature will automatically send an email to the Mayor and all City Council members.
