    • Anthony seconds
    • Passes without objection
  • Sophie motions to approve last meeting’s minutes
    • Tyler seconds
    • Passes without objection
  • Check ins
    • Brian’s capacity will be lowered due to work
    • Others have no changes in capacity
  • April GBM debrief
    • Did not make quorum by 5 members, we need to push harder for turnout
    • Sophie – Bit of a crazy meeting, guest speaker showed up at 5pm, seems to have gone over allotted time
    • June GBM has been booked at Clark County Library
  • Local Convention Planning
    • Could form a temporary committee, need to find leads and discuss budgeting
    • Tiffany wants to give the committee a budget, Anthony suggests having the committee create a budget to be approved
    • Venue needs to be booked ASAP
    • East Las Vegas Community Center may have a potential location, but would be $100 per hour and is not open on Sundays
    • Culinary is also not open on Sundays
    • Anthony – Saturday may not have been the issue for GBM turnout, there was also a holiday, we should do more to hype up GBMs
    • Brian – Turnout will inherently be lower on Saturday, Easter didn’t help, we have a lot of members but not all will be active, Convention should be on a Sunday
    • Casey – Different day and different location didn’t help
    • Sophie – Formations should also push the priority to go to GBM, siloing is a serious problem
      • Formations will need to have more autonomy and responsibility as membership grows
    • We should look on the weekend of July 11th and 12th rather than the 4th or 5th
    • Culinary should have priority over East Las Vegas Community Center, we may not need to pay
    • Sophie – we could also look into UNLV, there are very large meeting spaces but pricing is unknown
    • Anthony – we should plan for 100-150 people
    • Anthony motions to create a temporary open 2026 convention planning committee, budget excluding venue adopted at May GBM, Tiffany in charge
      • Tiffany seconds
      • Passes without objection
  • May Day
    • Anthony – NIC reached out re Solidarity School due to us being the May Day Strong Contact, no unions have fully confirmed, agenda has been condensed to not include lunch due to monetary concerns
      • Roles to fill – check in/tabling, small group facilitators, presenters
      • Presenters are biggest need, most content/scripts have already been created/adapted
    • 4th amendment rights canvassing
      • Anthony – National wants to prioritize May Day, unions haven’t solidified any plans, LVWOC wants to tie in demands from Abolish ICE campaign, ask people to sign up for canvassing at Solidarity School
        • Tiffany – We want to avoid pulling attention/capacity from electoral canvassing or GBM
    • First Friday Tabling
      • Sophie – Hola Habibi is double booked for May Day, other event is partnered with PSL so we may want to consider partnering
  • Labor Notes financial aid
    • Gigi is the only applicant, Anthony motions to approve covering expenses
      • Tiffany seconds
      • Passes without objection
  • Collab request from Mass Liberation on the Rickie Slaughter rally
    • Tiffany – Expectations are to share with membership, put logo on flyer, assist with creating flyer, Mass Liberation doesn’t ask much of us generally
    • Tiffany motions to collaborate with Mass Liberation on the Rickie Slaughter rally on 4/14
      • Anthony seconds
      • Passes without objection
  • National Required Changes Checklist
    • We already do most of the required changes
    • 30 day requirement to run or vote in officer elections
      • Tiffany – Convention already requires delegates be members for 30 days for this, SC should submit chartering changes for Convention
    • We are required to follow the requirements, but they still need to be voted on
    • Does your chapter require any employees, vendors, or contractors to be authorized by a vote of chapter membership?
      • Casey – We should have a mechanism in the bylaws for hiring staff, especially if we can use National money to hire people
  • National Input Question
    • Anthony – Abolish ICE campaign already includes requirements for what different formations should be doing, No ICE campaign
    • Needs to be presented at May GBM before sending to National
    • Sophie – Jill is interested in working on this with the Abolish ICE campaign
  • Open Comment
    • Campaign coordinating meeting
      • Anthony – scheduling Saturday after canvasses, we should encourage folks to make campaigns that are more focused and smaller in scope
      • Tiffany – formations need to start preparing for Convention, National has a debrief template
    • SC position slack posts
      • Every few days in April there will be a post on the different positions, SC members could do the post for their position
      • Casey will handle the Treasurer post, Tyler will do ME, Tiffany will reply
      • We also need to do an in person explanation of the roles at June GBM
    • YDSA
      • Sophie – we should discuss how to support YDSA OC and integrate
      • Nati – Need to build YDSA culture, learn how to chair
      • Tiffany – YDSA used to have a steering seat, we may want to treat them as stewards
        • Nati – It may be important to have a member on the board as the YDSA chapter grows
        • Anthony – Initially opposed to adding a seat due to the chapter being so new, may want to wait a year, not opposed to treating YDSA OC as stewards
        • Brian – does not like the half vote National system for YDSA, disagrees with having more than 9 people on SC
        • Tiffany motions to invite YDSA leadership to Stewards and SC slack channel
          • Anthony is opposed, chapter isn’t official yet and there are too many unknowns, would be on board after chapter has been chartered
          • Sophie – there were elections, but chapter hasn’t been chartered so there weren’t any quorum requirements
          • Nati – chapter is very close to chartering, could be by the end of the month
          • Casey seconds
            • Motion retracted, may be reopened later
            • Anthony hates kids
  • Meeting adjourned at 8:22pm
