Las Vegas DSA Response to Congressman Horsford’s Call for Restoration of Worker’s Health Benefits

We wholeheartedly agree with Congressman Horsford’s call to restore medical benefits for all workers affected by the COVID-19 crisis. However, this situation perfectly illustrates the reason we have been repeatedly asking the Congressman to support legislation to provide universal healthcare to all Americans regardless of their current employer and employment status. We trust that Rep. Horsford will promptly announce his support and co-sponsorship of H.R. 1384, the Medicare For All Act of 2019, so no workers or their families will ever again have to worry about losing access to life-saving treatment due to an unexpected economic circumstance.
