The Partyist Working Group (PWG) aims to strengthen the relationships between the members of LVDSA and other official structures within DSA, including DSA national formations and any chapters or organizing committees that may one day partner with LVDSA in the creation of regional or state-wide structures, through:
- identifying the most relevant convention resolutions to our work locally
- presenting these resolutions to the general body for ratification
- discussing resolutions that are not yet applicable to the structure of LVDSA
- suggesting structural changes that will allow for new initiatives in accordance with convention decisions
- presenting resolutions rejected by convention for deliberation and discussion to anticipate and facilitate LVDSA interventions within the 2027 Convention
- mapping our members that are engaged in work within national formations and requesting reportbacks for the members of LVDSA
- identifying gaps in LVDSA’s presence on national working groups, commissions, and committees and recruiting members to join these bodies
- developing relationships with nearby chapters and OCs to discuss opportunities for collaboration
- promote events hosted by other DSA official bodies to the membership of LVDSA
