Medicare for All Day of Action
Las Vegas DSA’s Medicare for All Committe is hosting a sign holding action in front of Mountain View Hospital on the SE corner of Cheyenne and Tenaya (parking at the Target across the street).
For this action, attendees will be asked to make a sign in support of Medicare for All, and then meet up (socially distanced) in a high visibility area to take a photo and demonstrate support to the community. Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to and masks are mandatory (free masks will be available).
This Medicare for All event is one of hundreds of volunteer led events happening across the country on the National Day of Action on Saturday, August 22nd. Thanks for joining us in the fight for health care justice.
When you register, the volunteer host of this action will reach out to you before the action to give further instructions and touch base.
About LVDSA's Medicare For All Committee
We need a healthcare system that prioritizes the health of working-class Americans over the profits of insurance companies and their billionaire executives. We need a single, universal system with comprehensive coverage that is free at the point of service. Amongst Nevada’s politicians, there is little to no support for Medicare for All. LVDSA’s Medicare for All committee seeks to change that, by building a grassroots movement to fight and replace our broken, for-profit health system with Medicare for All!
