Committees

Committees are created by the Steering Committee for the purpose of supporting the core functions and administration of the chapter. Membership and participation in committees may be restricted in order to maintain appropriate confidentiality or security of sensitive information.

Administrative Committee

The Administrative Committee (AdCom) supports the critical administrative duties that keep the chapter running day-to-day, including managing the website and chapter tech tools, as well as developing and documenting processes for all administrative tasks under its purview to ensure continuity from term to term.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee works on drafting and distributing mass emails, creating graphics, managing LVDSA’s social media accounts, and supporting campaigns and other chapter formations with any communication needs.

Member Engagement Committee

The Member Engagement Committee plans and facilitates New Member Orientations, Member Socials, and works on member recruitment and retention strategies.

Political Education Committee

The Political Education Committee coordinates education around foundational socialist theories and concepts and supports outward-facing educational events related to strategic campaigns and working groups.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the highest elected body of LVDSA and is the political leadership of the chapter when the general body is not assembled.
