You deserve a union. We’re here to help.
In 2020, Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC) was established as a joint project between DSA and the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America to teach workers how to collectively advocate for better workplace conditions. In 2025, delegates at LVDSA’s convention adopted a resolution to form Las Vegas Workplace Organizing Committee (LVWOC) and participate in the effort to help workers organize, democratize, and improve their workplaces.
LVWOC’s purpose is to support EWOC’s labor organizing efforts here locally and grow a militant working class.
We do this by facilitating trainings, hosting worker meetups, and supporting workplace organizing campaigns.
Get Support
If you are interested in organizing for better conditions in your own workplace, begin by attending EWOC’s Fundamentals of Workplace Organizing training. This training series is held virtually, but we will organize meet up groups for workers to participate together locally.
If you are already trained or have an active organizing campaign, you can request support and EWOC will put you in contact with an experienced organizer here locally.
By the end of 2025, we will begin hosting regular meetings for current or aspiring workplace organizers to discuss their campaigns, practice organizing skills, and learn from each other’s experiences.
Support Others
If you are interested in supporting workers in their organizing efforts, you can fill out our volunteer form. There are many ways to contribute to LVWOC, either in organizing roles or administrative roles! If you do not have workplace organizing experience then we will set you up on a Beginner Organizer track to build up your skills.
Although you do not have to be a DSA member to participate in LVWOC, we encourage you to join us today because in the fight to build a more democratic and just society we are stronger together!
We are committed to developing labor radicals oriented towards transforming the landscape of the labor movement, because an organized and powerful labor movement is essential to building a more democratic and just future.
