Desert Power Priority Kickoff

The western United States have been in a megadrought for over 20 years and Lake Mead is at critically low levels. At the same time, climate change has made Las Vegas the fastest-warming city in the United States. In this campaign, we will work to reduce water waste by advocating for a progressive water rate structure at the Clark County Commission. We will also plant native, water-tolerant trees to reduce “heat islands” in underserved communities, fight to protect ecosystems by promoting rooftop solar instead large solar plants, and provide political education on ecosocialist issues in the Las Vegas valley.
