Yes on Neighborhood Stability

Yes on Neighborhood Stability

We firmly hold that housing is a human right. Still, residents across the valley struggle to find affordable and quality places to live. Since 2020, the average cost of rent in Nevada has increased 20%, and as high as 47% in North Las Vegas, while median wages rose only 5%. To fight back, Culinary Union 226 has launched its Neighborhood Stability campaign to pass a ballot measure that would cap rent increases at 5% for most tenants in North Las Vegas, and we are committed to doing all that we can to see that measure pass!
Leading up to voting day this November, LVDSA will be canvassing communities and hosting educational events about the benefits of the ballot measure, as well as distributing information about tenants’ rights, eviction defense, and rental assistance programs. While canvassing the community, we will seek opportunities to connect with our neighbors about our shared struggles and how we can fight back together.
In order to be successful, we need as many people as possible to assist with canvassing, writing literature, designing graphics, and more. Check out our calendar and register for an event to get involved!
